Pam Byrnes was asked to speak at the Dexter Chamber of Commerce meeting on October 17th. She is an active member of the Chelsea, Dexter and Saline Area Chambers of Commerce.  Pam lives in the area and works toward Washtenaw County receiving funds from Lansing.  She focused her discussion on the New Michigan Business Tax.  "Passing the Michigan Business Tax is essential to moving Michigan forward because it rewards investment and protects Michigan-based companies”, said State Representative Pam Byrnes (D-Lyndon Township). "This incentive package will help jumpstart our state's economy."  She is pictured below with local owner Steve from Dexter Flowers.  Also pictured are Chamber members Gordon Darr and Carol Jones.    She mentioned sleeping on an air mattress at the Capitol building while balancing the 40 billion dollar budget.  She reiterated that we have much to attract others to our area.  The Chamber is focused on the slogan Think Dexter First.  After listening, I feel the State is focused on Think Michigan – thank goodness. When we can provide jobs, we can start recovery.  We invite you to explore Dexter through our school site www.washtenawschools.com and our Dexter Community tour.  We are excited about our community and are ready to welcome newcomers and help fellow locals.  We would love the opportunity to put our resources to work for you with regard to Dexter real estate and Washtenaw County.
