Both the Ann Arbor District Library and the People's Food Co-op are considering a move into the vacant retail portion of the Liberty Lofts building. For the library, this would be a two-year temporary space while it's permanent home undergoes rennovations. The Library's director, Josie Parker, believes the space offers many positives for library goers - a convenient location, 50 parking spaces, lots of natural light and concrete flooring to name a few. Major rennovations will take place soon on the library's existing space at the building on Division. Options were considered at a recent board meeting regarding the 19,000 sqft space. The People's Co-op has more preliminary plans at this point. Only last month did they reach out their membership regarding a potential move to the Liberty Lofts building. The not-for-profit member-owned grocery store and cafe is currently located at Fourth and Catherine streets and may be looking to expand. The retail space at Liberty Lofts is listed at $24/sqft and is also available for sale for $3.5 million ($184/sqft).For more information about retail space at Liberty Lofts please contact Kathy Toth and Team.Search all listings in Michigan with pictures and tours...Free!
